First Time Blogger

I once read a story on MSN about “One Time Tweets,” or people that have signed up for Twitter and only posted one tweet. I thought some of these postings begged to be followed up with some form on closure such as the one stating, “Eating a really big sandwich,” or “Screwing around at work. Hope I don’t get fired.” Don’t leave me hanging here people! How big was that sandwich exactly? Is that person still eating it? Did the latter get caught and fired on the spot? One expletive would have laid my curiosity to rest. or perhaps it came to blows with their now former employer and they used their computer as a weapon preventing any additional tweets.

I only bring this up only having dabbled in Twitter but not yet venturing into the Facebook/MySpace scene, am looking forward to figuring out what the blogging world has to offer.

It is the first week back to school and as an assignment in all 3 of my communication classes I’m required to start my own blog. I choose not to look at this task begrudgingly but with optimism. It will not be only a way for me to get all A’s but an outlet for me to voice my opinion or outlook on various subject matters, academicrelated or not. No worries Professors, I’ll will keep it professional. I can also guarantee I won’t be a one-time-tweeter. Not unless I want to fail all of my classes, that is.

How is this for a first-time post?
