Ogden Pioneer Days Volunteer PR Assistant Director (2009-2010)

• Current position with this non-profit organization
• Wrote news briefs, assisted in negotiated media advertising contracts, secured airtime at local radio stations, solicited sponsors, coordinated media interviews with rodeo personnel, assisted on all advertisement publications including newspaper inserts, arranged public speaking opportunities with community organizations and served as a spokesperson whenever needed.

Miss Rodeo Utah (2008-2009)

• Awarded this honor after holding other titles for past 11 years where I gained experience that aided me in this position.
• 365 days mostly spent traveling to various rodeos across the nation where my duties varied from:

o Speaking to chamber of commerce’s, elementary schools, city councils, service clubs, etc. about supporting and attending their local rodeo and any related special events
o Numerous TV, newspaper and radio interviews
o Spent time at countless sponsors’ stores/booths endorsing and advertising.
o Before and after each rodeo I glad-handed patrons serving as the face and spirit of the rodeo committee.

• I am now frequently asked to serve as a clinician giving lectures and workshops, a personal coach, and judge.
• Won Public Speaking, Appearance, and Photogenic categories the previous year

Public Speaking Award Winner (2006)

• 4-H Public Speaking Champion and 4th at Nationals.

• 15 minute speech with a western/equine topic, memorized with scholarly cited sources.
• 2nd place in FFA state public speaking
